DISTRIBUTION
Distributed in the North-east Atlantic ranging from the Norwegian Sea and Iceland to West Africa including the Mediterranean Sea.
ECOLOGY
Oceanic epipelagic species usually found from the surface down to depths of around 150 m. Its diet consists of fish, cephalopods, crustaceans and cetacean carrion.
FISHERIES
Caught mainly with pelagic longlines and also using driftnets and pelagic trawls.
