DISTRIBUTION
Distributed along the North-east Atlantic in the Barents and Greenland Seas and southwards to the Bay of Biscay .
ECOLOGY
Benthopelagic species found in depths ranging 1 - 2000 m. It inhabits sandy, muddy and hard bottoms and feeds on crustaceans, fish and bottom invertebrates.
FISHERIES
Mostly caught in fisheries using demersal trawls, longlines and gillnets.
