DISTRIBUTION
Found mainly along the coastal areas of the North-east Atlantic from Norway southwards to North-west Africa. Also found in the Mediterranean Sea.
ECOLOGY
Bentic species most commonly located in coastal areas ranging from 20 to 50 m deep but have been reported down to 180 m. They are planktonic filter feeding species.
FISHERIES
Mainly caught in fisheries using otter trawl and dredge fisheries.
