DISTRIBUTION
Found in the North-east Atlantic from the Barents Sea to the northern part of the North Sea, around Iceland and off the coast of Greenland.
ECOLOGY
Lives on rocky and pebble bottoms at depths ranging between 20-1000 m. Its diet consists mainly of fish, crustaceans and echinoderms.
FISHERIES
Mainly taken as by-catch in longline, otter trawl and gillnet fisheries.
